4th of July at the park

The booth was busy, and the coloring contest tables were the main event of the day. It was almost 100 degrees. The children were even standing in line to sit at the table to color. We had to add another table there because there were so many. The kids loved it. Each child that participated received a treat bag. Even when it was too hot for them to sit on the chairs they improvised and stood to color. Crayons don't do well just for future reference. Thank goodness we had markers and coloring pencils. One child sat there for about 45 minutes working on his page. Others colored their pages and decided to take them home and some just wanted a page to take home to color.

Each age group winner will receive a $10 gift card from the Dairy Queen.

Combat Vets let parents take pictures of their children sitting on their motorcycles.

We were blessed to have other groups join us. We had members of the Adult Day Center-Alex Sanchez and Maria Scafariello, Bill McKnight-President of the Eastgate Lions Club, Linda Cortez-SCSEP and Renee Brown-BMAC SSVF Services.
